It was a bohemian wedding for jewelry designer Pamela Love and illustrator Matthew Nelson in Montauk earlier this summer. The ceremony and reception took place at the retro-chic hotel and restaurant Ruschmeyer’s for a small group of guests including fellow designers Rogan Gregory and Eddie Borgo.
Vogue.com reported on all the charming details of the celebration and here are the highlights. The bride and groom walked down the grassy aisle of the hotel’s lawn to Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold,” where they were married by artist Francesco Clemente. Guests sipped on glasses of sweet tea (a nod to the groom’s Southern roots) and dined at tables adorned with wildflowers in mason jars on a menu of watermelon and tomato salads, grilled mini burgers and walnut basil pesto pasta.
Love’s dress was designed by her friend Mara Hoffman while the custom jewelry was created by Love – lapis cufflinks for the groom and a pendant and ring for herself. The happy couple were reported to be the last ones to leave!
